Lismore Shopping Center's Carrington Street Entry

This project is one amongst a raft of improvement and makeover works going on at Lismore Shopping Center in New South Wales.

BIMTek was asked to survey and provide workshop drawings for a new steel sign frame on the Carrington Street Entrance. The challenge was that we had to undertake the site survey with no access equipment and whilst the shopping center was open for business.

A Trimble TX5 Laser Scanner was used and the frame scanned from the road below and from behind on the roof. Accurate set out dimensons were then extracted from the scan model and the steelwork modelled and detailed in Tekla Structures.

Erection of the steel frame was completed today and well. Hats off to the Steel Erector Shayne who got the site welded connection plates in precisely the right position to allow the steel columns to be installed with no problems. Pictures to come tomorrow.
